Wheeler Winston Dixon was born March 12, 1950 in New Brunswick USA. He is a filmmaker and scholar who is well known for films such as 'UFO exclusive' (1978) and 'Amazing world of ghosts' (1978). Dixon has a theory that horror films are getting increasingly more violent and graphic which is resulting in classical horror characters who once gripped their audiences such as Frankenstein and Dracular which now fail to grip their audience. Because of this older horror films now only entertain a small group of hardcore less mainstream horror fans. This contradicts our horror idea as we plan to base our horror on zombies which is a fairly classic yet new type of horror. Although this won't grab our audience to the edge of their seats we plan to make them see the gore and blood associated with zombies and eating humans.

His Theory
His most notable horror theory is the 'site of activity' theory. His 'site of activity' theory states that we rarely get to know any character in horror, as they are killed off to quickly. This means we never have the chance to get to know the character, and can emotionally detach ourselves from them. This means that the character is not viewed as a character, and is merely a 'site of activity', the activity in question often being their brutal death. NE
