OUR TASK:
In this task we were asked to research different types of fake blood recipes both edible and non-edible.
GOLDEN SYRUP, RED FOOD COLOURING AND CHOCOLATE POWDER:
In this recipe we used golden syrup and red food colouring, this gave a thick textured blood which would look great for the inside of wounds. We added diluted hot chocolate powder to add darkness to the blood and make it look more realistic. this was a good recipe as it looked like real blood and it was also edible which meant we could use it to dribble out of mouths to create a gruesome effect.
TESCO VALUE WASHING UP LIQUID AND RED FOOD COLOURING:
This recipe created a realistic looking fake blood whilst also being a very cheap recipe. This is good as we could make a lot of blood for a cheap price and use as much as we need without wasting money. This recipe is not edible.
MORRISONS VALUE WASHING UP LIQUID AND RED FOOD COLOURING:
This recipe did not work for us as it created a dark purple/brown looking blood which was too thick and had the appareance of jelly, this did not look realistic at all.
CHUNKY PEANUT BUTTER AND RED FOOD COLOURING:
Although this recipe did not look like real blood at all and had the appearance of paste, we came up with the idea that it looked as if a zombie had been eating out of a victim's body. This created a great affect when the acting and scene was applied correctly to it.
